Sarah Outen’'s London2London:Via the World expedition is her attempt to complete a 25,000 mile continuous loop of the globe by kayak, bicycle and rowing boat. Impressive stuff! She started on 1st April 2011 and kayaked from Tower Bridge to France; cycled 11,000 miles across Europe and Asia to Russia; kayaked to Japan; rowed across the Pacific Ocean to the Aleutian Islands; kayaked the 1,500 miles along these islands to mainland Alaska and cycled 5000 miles in the North American winter to the East Coast of the USA from where she is now rowing across the Atlantic Ocean back home to the UK. As part of her whopping 6,000 kcal a day calorie intake, Sarah has taken a few of our LWWF meals with her to provide some variation, and a morale boost, in her diet. Lightweight, easy to heat and with no need for a fridge they make a great meal no matter where you are – even on a boat in the Atlantic Ocean!
