All of our dishes can be stored without the need to be kept cool and have a long shelf life, perfect for any hardy camper. Simply stash some in your backpack or the caravan for your trip...if you don't eat them all they'll still be in perfect condition for the next one. Even if the temperature is too hot for you, as long as the temperature doesn't get to 60oC then our packs will be fine, and if they do get to this temperature then at least you won't need to use your gas to heat them up!
Whether you're enjoying a relaxed weekend in the country, hiking up mountainous peaks or biking down them, canoeing lakes or shooting rapids, when it's time to eat what better than chef inspired recipes prepared in minutes? It couldn't be easier, simply heat some water and boil it in the bag! 5-10 minutes later....done. You can also heat them in a pan or even use a jet boil. Each pack weighs around 300g and the tough pouch is easily stuffed into any nook, backpack, or kayak and although they weigh a little more than your lightweight dried foods they certainly make up for it in taste.
Each of our delicious meals or tasty soups is prepared in very much the same way as you would a casserole at home, each specially sourced ingredient is prepared for the pot (in our case the pouch), they are then sealed and cooked in a large steam pressure cooker. One great aspect to this method is it locks in all the goodness and flavours from the ingredients without the need of any additives or preservatives...another is it makes great camping food!
If you're new to Look What We Found! we've made choosing easy with our Adventurer's Selection Pack, featuring our 10 most filling dishes (£30). Each dish contains a good level of carbohydrate to keep your energy levels up, as well as all the nutrition you need for some serious outdoor activity.
We've also teamed up with Hotpack to offer their fantastic flameless heater pouches - just put your LWWF meal in the pouch add a little water and within 10 minutes your food is piping hot and ready to eat. So there's no need to cart your cooking gear around!
These great heaters are the size and width of an A5 envelope weight only 25g, and you can use any clean water you can find - the water does not come into contact with the food so you don't need to sterilise it first. They're used widely by the emergency services and are an extremely safe unique non-magnesium design, which can be disposed of in your normal household waste once used.
