Website User Survey - Results

We recently sent out a survey to ask our website users what they thought of our website - here are the results:


When did you last  visit our website?


Over 83% of you have visited our website within the last 2 months, with over half doing so in the last 4 weeks.

We have noticed a very significant number of new visitors of late, which would explain this to some degree. However, we are also seeing a great rise in repeat visits so thank you very much to all visitors, new and old alike!

Not surprisingly the vast majority (70%) of our website visitors stated they are 'Simply Food Lovers', however, we also saw high responses from people interested in diet and exercise, and camping and caravanning.

 
   

How would you rate the informational pages on our website?

With high numbers of responses stating 'Very Good' (45%) or 'Good' (40%), we must be doing something right! We have just started to add informational pages so we are learning what you're interested in but this shows that you value good articles.

We also received many good and pertinent comments on the pages that we have written so far, so will be expanding and improving our articles to give you more relevant and informative information with a more appealing look.

How would you rate the product information on our website?


Overwhelmingly, you reported that you were happy with the information on our products available on the site. However, we did receive many comments about how to improve the layout and ease of finding this information.

Several comments asked about information that is already available on the site but is evidently hidden in amongst the various pages. These are the really important comments as they help us to identify what we need to do to make things easier for you to find.

How would you rate the experience at the checkout?
 

Of those who purchase from our online shop (30% of our visitors do not) nearly all find the check out a straight-forward affair. However, you have also let us know that 'straight-forward' is not the same as easy or entirely user-friendly.

We are looking at ways to incorporate more checkout options so that buying online is as easy as possible for all, and we hope to make it fast and intuitive.

How would you rate our delivery service?

Once again, this is a very positive response and we seem to have impressed with our new next day delivery aim. However, many of you would like to see free delivery (of course!) and we also received some good feedback about various aspects of the delivery service.

Delivery is key to us, and we'll be looking closely at your comments to see where we can make improvements.

How would you rate our customer service?

A very similar response to the delivery service, again very good. It is in the few that rated the service as average, however, that we are focussed. We aim to get our service right and have taken on board these comments.

It is good to see, however, that from those of you contacting our customer services more recently there appears to be a signifcantly higher level of satisfaction.

How would you rate the overall experience of using our website?

Our final question asked about the general experience of visiting our website, and once again almost all responses were good or very good.

However, you were less happy with the overall experience than you were with other areas, indeed, this question received the most 'Average' responses. Your comments have been extremely informative for this particular question and we have received many tips from general website visitors as well as some expert advice!

Many thanks to all who responded so quickly to our survey. It is fantastic to see so many people happy to help us improve the website by taking time to complete things like this. In return, of course, we did offer to draw five respondees at random, and send them one of our 'One Week's Dinner for Two' selections. We are notifying those lucky winners right now so do check your email to see if one is coming your way!
